New York City Internship Program
The Advance Group offers a competitive internship program designed for undergraduate and graduate students looking to gain real-world experience in government relations, political consulting, and public affairs.
TAG interns don't just make copies — they do the work. From day one, you'll be embedded in an active, fast-moving firm where you'll contribute to live client campaigns, lobbying efforts, communications projects, and political strategy. Every semester, our interns work directly alongside TAG's senior team, building the skills and relationships that define careers in New York politics and government.
What You'll Gain
Hands-on experience across lobbying, campaigns, communications, field advocacy and more — plus direct exposure to New York's most active political and government affairs environment. TAG alumni have gone on to work in elected offices, advocacy organizations, consulting firms, and government agencies across the City and State.

Based in New York - mainly remote, however we require availability for in-person meetings, client events, and field advocacy
Who We're Looking For
Motivated students with a passion for politics, government, and public service. Strong writing skills, attention to detail, and a desire to learn in a high-energy environment are a must.
Prior coursework or experience in political science, public policy, communications, or a related field is a plus — but drive and curiosity matter most.
